What happens if I do not purchase TPMS sensors when my vehicle comes standard with them?
Some vehicles manufactured before 2007 come with TPMS, but after September 2007, it became standard equipment on most vehicles in Canada. These standard TPMS sensors do not need to be replaced unless their batteries die or they become damaged. If you are installing winter tires, you will also need to install TPMS sensors in order for your TPMS system to operate. If you do not install them, you not be notified of tire pressure changes in your vehicle, which can be quite dangerous.
