What is minus sizing and why would I do it?

Minus sizing your tires is the process of installing new tires with a smaller inner diameter to accommodate smaller wheels on your vehicle. When the weight of your vehicle is focused onto a smaller area, it allows the tires to cut through snow more effectively than a wider tire, hence providing better traction.
